Congratulations to the Senior Girls Field Hockey team on finishing 8th at the Provincials this weekend and on a successful season!


Any Grade 9 to 10 boys wanting to play Basketball this year, the first tryout will be on tonight at 6pm in the South Gym.


All girls interested in trying out for the Grade 8 Basketball Team, please put your name on the sign-up sheet outside the PE office.


Congratulations to the Junior Boys Volleyball Team on a solid season.  After working hard but seeing few rewards in the regular season, the boys put it all together to win two of their last three play-off games, allowing them to finish 3rd.  The whole team played great during play-offs, but were truly led by the consistent play and attitude of Kevin L, Yamato, and Daniel L.

Congratulations to the Junior Girls Volleyball Team for winning the Richmond Championship on Friday.  The girls dominated the Richmond league this season with losing only 5 sets out of 43.  Up next will be the Vancouver and Districts Championship on Wed.  


Just a reminder that there will be a Student Council meeting every Monday at lunch in Mr. Cheng’s room, B204, starting Monday Nov. 16th until Monday Dec. 14th. Don’t miss out as there will be lots of volunteer opportunities


Hello! Bonjour! NiHao! Hola!  Multicultural Club presents World Hello Day on Thursday Nov.19th, we will be handing out “hello” stickers in different languages. Wear the sticker for the day and at 2:48pm, Nov.19th tweet a picture of the sticker or yourself wearing the sticker and you will have a chance to win a free multicultural lunch.  Be sure to tweet #mcmathmulticulturalclub and we will pick the 1st 25 people to post on Twitter.  Happy World Hello Day Wildcats!

The Japanese Cultural Club meeting will be on today in Ms. Ho’s room, C132.  Bring your lunch, take a sushi and enjoy the anime.


Do you know your rights in the work place? Do you know that 26% of work injuries involve young workers? Well I guess you probably don’t. Wait, what, you do know.  Great, come out to the Work Safety Booth at lunch on Wednesday Nov 18th and put your knowledge to the test.  There will be prizes.


Hey Wildcats are you interested in making a difference? Because McMath Interact Club can help!  All week, Interact Club will be selling banana bread to support “Jaaja Barb’s Home Of Angels”, an orphanage in Uganda.  Come out at lunch to buy some deliciously fresh banana bread for $1 a slice or $8 a loaf.  Thank you for supporting this amazing cause, see you at lunch in front of the stage.


Wildcats you are invited to make Valentine Cards for Kids at Children’s Hospital who are in the Oncology (Cancer) ward.  The CARE Club will be making cards and signs for the toy drive. Please join us on Thurs. Nov. 19th in B218 at 3pm.  Bring art supplies.  The Toy Drive will be January 5th-Feb. 11th.  The toys and Valentine’s cards will be delivered in time for Valentine’s Day.


Grade 11 and 12 studentsPost-Secondary Day is this afternoon!  go to your first session directly from lunch.  Some sessions fill quickly, therefore, consider an alternate.  Following session 2…go to your 1-3 class for attendance and hand in your yellow form.  If the post-secondary representative finishes the presentation before the schedules time…do not leave the classroom.  Please wait until you hear the PA announcements informing you that it is time to move to the next session.  At the end of the school day, all representatives will be in the Rotunda to answer your questions.  All grades are invited to the Rotunda session.


Grade 12 students…did you sign up with Ms. Bernard, to attend the University of Alberta information session?  This meeting will be held at McMath on Tuesday, November 17th during part 2-2.  If so, drop by the Career Centre today to pick up your Permission Request Form.  Students in attendance, mush have this permission form ‘approved’ by their subject teacher.  See Ms. Bernard if you have any questions.
