Welcome back Wildcats!  Student Council’s Annual PAWS are up.  Go out in the school and find yours.  Make sure to save your paw for a special event coming up soon.  You won’t want to miss out!

 

Pizza! Pizza! Pizza! Our first pizza day of the year is this Friday!  Come to down to the rotunda at lunch for hot, fresh, delicious pizza.  At $2 a slice we sell out quickly!

 

 

Attention to all student athletes. If you are interested in joining any of the Fall season sports teams at McMath, please sign-up in the gym.

Fall Sports are: Boys Soccer, Gr. 8&9 Boys Rugby, Gr. 10 Boys Volleyball, Senior Boys Volleyball, Gr.8 Girls Volleyball, Gr.9 Girls Volleyball, Gr. 10 Girls Volleyball, Senior Girls Volleyball, Field Hockey, McMath Swim Team, and Cross Country Running. If you have any questions, see Mr. Gomes in the PE Office.

Tryouts for the Senior Boys Volleyball Team will be today and tomorrow from 4:30-6pm in the South Gym.

All girls interested in playing Senior Girls Volleyball this year.  There will be short sign-up meeting afterschool, today in Mr. Cheng’s room (B204).  Your first tryouts will be Thursday afterschool.

 

Tryouts for the Grade 10 Girls Volleyball Team will be this Thursday and Friday from 3-4:30pm in the South Gym.

 

Hey there Swolecats, hopefully you all spent your summer showing off your sick gainz from last year but now that beach season has ended it's time to put on your loosest clothing and get ready for another gainz filled winter. The gym will be open to all current members after-school Wednesday and Friday and will be open to all new members starting next week.

 

 

 

Students are invited to see Ms. Bernard in the Career Centre regarding… post-secondary…career… and scholarship questions.

 

Plan to attend the following post-secondary events! If you would like to know more about going to the United Kingdom to further your education after graduation… attend the Best of U-Evening Event (in Vancouver) on Weds. Sept 13th.   If you are interested in finding more about Study, Travel, Work and Volunteer Abroad… visit the Study and Go Abroad Fair (at the Vancouver Convention Centre) on Sept 24th.

A representative from the US Embassy and Education USA will be at Burnett Secondary in Richmond on October 23rd.  Find out about USA admission requirements, tuition, scholarships, deadlines, and more.

Mark your calendar!  The Canadian Universities Event 2017 is coming to McMath Secondary on Tuesday, September 26th.  All Grade 11 and 12 students (and parents), are invited to meet with 50 university representatives from across Canada.

Good Morning Grads! Hope you’re all stoked for a great year ahead.  Our first Grade Event a BBQ will be Friday Sept 15th after school in the breezeway.  Get ready to mix and mingle with fellow grads while chowing down on a hot dog.  Tickets will be on sale for $5, today until next Weds in front of the library. Also be sure to order a basic $10 white Grad tee to show your spirit! We will be taking orders for the shirts until this Friday.  Check the grad facebook group page for more.
