Looking for an extra sport to earn an athletic award? Why not try swimming.  1 practice a week, 1 swim meet.  All abilities, all grades.  Pick-up an info package from Ms. Nishi in the PE office.


All girls interested in playing Rugby this year there will be an informational meeting in Mr. Frechette’s room, B210, this Thursday afterschool.


Field Hockey practice will be today and Thursday this week, from 4-5pm at Minoru turf.


Attention all Level 5 ELL students.  All "regular" ELL Level 5 students will need to come to Mr. Lalonde's room (C211) tomorrow, Thursday Sept. 21st, during 2nd block, for a mandatory orientation meeting.  This meeting is NOT for International Level 5 students.  All other Level 5 students need to attend.  Please see Mr. Lalonde if you have any questions, before Thursday's meeting.  Please bring a pen/pencil and writing paper as well.  See you there. 


Hey Wildcats! Just a reminder that the Natural Club’s Recycling will be on Thursday this week due to the Pro-D Day on Friday.  Come out to the back of upper C-wing in front of Ms. Phillpott’s room on Thursday afterschool to participate.  There will also be a meeting today at lunch in room C213.  New members are always welcome.

Grade 12 students...a representative from Langara is coming to McMath this Thursday, during lunch, to assist with the application process.  Applications are accepted starting on Oct. 1st.  Sign up with Ms. Bernard in the Career Centre.  The session will be held in room A105. Date of application is important.  

The Study and Go Abroad Fair will be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre on September 24th. Admission is free.  Pre-register to be eligible for the grand prize.    

Are you interested in learning more about the Sauder School of Business at UBC?  On September 25th, a representative from UBC will be at talk about the UBC Commerce Transfer Program.  Start your studies at Langara... then transfer to Sauder.   The session starts at 4:30. 

Are you a Grade 10, 11 or 12 student interested in learning about work in Emergency Services?  If so, apply to join the Fall 2017 Richmond RCMP Youth Squad Program.  This is an eight session program at the RCMP Richmond Detachment.   Applications are available from Ms. Bernard in the Career Centre or Ms. Chen in room B157.


Grade 11 and 12 student and parents...CUE 2017 is coming to McMath Secondary on Tuesday, September 26th.  Drop-in between 6:30 and 8:30pm and meet Canadian university representatives... from the Pacific to the Atlantic.   If you are not available for CUE 2017 at McMath Secondary, attend the Event in Burnaby on: Tuesday, October 3rd.   See Ms. Bernard in the Career Centre if you have questions.
