Career Program (STEP) Information


(STEP) Skilled Trade Exploration Program - Spring 2018

Are you in Grade 11 or 12 and curious about exploring a skilled trade? See your counsellor or Ms. Bernard in the Career Centre, today, to apply for Richmond School District’s one-week STEP Program.  Apply to work for an entire week with the Richmond School District:

  • Carpenters
  • Plumbers
  • Electricians
  • Landscapers
  • or H-VAC technicians. 

If you like Information Technology and computers, you may be particularly interested in H-VAC.  Applications for this exciting work experience program are available from your Career Information Advisor or counsellor.  Deadline to submit your COMPLETED application is Wednesday, February 7th.  Don’t delay if this fantastic exploration opportunity is of interest to you!

FEB 21/18    Youth Train in Trades Workshops (Plumbing or Professional Cook)    
*Register by Feb 14.
The Career Programs Office is offering the 'Education on Action' series in 2018.  Experience a morning in the SD38 'Youth Train in Trades' Professional Cook Program or the Plumbing Program.  Acquire practical hands-on skills.   These workshops are open to Grade 8 - 12 students.  Limited seats available.
