Attention to All Volleyball Referees and Score Keepers from the fall season. Your cheques are ready, please pick them up from Mr. Gomes at the PE office.

 

The Japanese Conversation Club meets every first day of the week in Ms. Ho’s room, C132 at 1pm, please eat your lunch beforehand as food is not permitted in the room. Next week we’ll continue to learn the parts of the body. It is really useful skill if you get injured in Japan and seek medical care. Yay!

 

Attention Grade 9s! Have you returned your Immunization forms yet? If not please bring them to the office ASAP!

 

Hi Wildcats!  Model United Nations Club is having our first meeting of the New Year on Wednesday. We encourage all new members to participate and learn about and discuss current events and international relations.  See you in Mr. Lalonde’s room, C211 at lunch.

 

Attention all students who are enrolled in Mr. Milholm’s On-line Planning Class, there will be a meeting in the South Gym, at lunch on Wednesday.

The 3D Printers are up and running, now it’s time to learn how to use them! Come to the library after-school on Friday for a workshop on how to use YOUR 3D Printers in the library.

The Richmond Reading Riot is on! 8 great books and the chance to win fantastic prizes for reading them! If you’ve been meaning to read ‘The Hate You Give or Ready Player One’, now is the time to do it. If you’ve already read a book on the list, come fill out a ballot in the library for your chance to win!

The French Club meets every Wednesday at lunch in Ms. Ndiaye’s room, C210. Learn how to introduce yourself in French! Name, age, hobbies, etc. You’ll be able to make new friends in French anytime!  Also, we give treats and snacks and stuff.

Do you like to meet new people? Would you or your family like to travel to France one day? Are you available to accommodate a student for the week of April 29th – May 6th?  If yes, then sign-up to Host a Student from France.  McMath will be hosting students from École St Charles who are here to improve their English speaking skills, as well as have an authentic Canadian experience.  If you are interested, please see Mme. Hey Interact Club Members, come out to the first General Meeting of the year on Thursday January 18th.  This meeting’s theme is ‘turning words into action’, with Empowerment Coach, Keri-Anne as our quest speaker. See you at 6:55am sharp. New members are always welcome.

Grade 10 and 11 Students (and parents) are invited to attend the upcoming Youth Train in Trades Open House on Wednesday, January 24th from           6-8pm. Two sessions will be held at the same time, though… * note different locations.  The Plumbing Open House will be held at Palmer Secondary School and the Professional Cook Open House will                 be held at Richmond Secondary School. Registration is not required…just drop in.   

The Graphic Design for Marketing program at KPU is holding FREE Portfolio Workshop on January 20th, in the ‘NEW’ Wilson School of Design Building.  Attend this workshop and learn how to build a dynamite portfolio!  Bring any work in progress, and receive feedback.  Register online at KPU.  Questions, see Ms. Bernard in the Career Centre.
