The month of February is ERASE month, which is a timely reminder at the mid-point of the school year that schools need to be safe & supportive places for everyone to learn & belong. We have been discussing Random Acts of Kindness each day on our morning announcements and other positive and PRIDE behaviors.
It is past time for all in our McMath Community to appreciate the ideas & experiences of those different from yourselves.
The beauty in the world lies in the diversity of its people. Strength lies in differences not in similarities, and great scholars have noted that we need diversity of thought in the world to solve current & future challenges. Wear Pink Day is Feb 28th, please wear pink to support this cause.
Erase Bullying is a district wide initiative, that we at McMath following wholeheartedly.
As in the previous three years, the Richmond School District and the City of Richmond are collaborating to promote February as ERASE Bullying Month and we are inviting everyone to wear something pink on February 28th. Our collective goal is to ensure that Richmond is a respectful, safe, caring and connected community that values individual differences.
