Are you a Gr. 8 to 11 student interested in being a Chef or work in the Plumbing Industry? Here is your chance to spend a morning with a Professional Cook or Plumbing Industry Youth Train in Trades students & instructors of the Red Seal programs at SD38 Richmond. It’s a fantastic opportunity for you to work alongside & experience first hand what it would be like to take a training program while in Secondary School. Workshops are held Feb. 12th & March 6th. Boys Spring Rugby. Spring Rugby practice is set for tomorrow straight after school. All boys in Grades 10 to 12 interested in playing rugby this spring, come on out & be ready to go. Rugby practices will be Thursday & Sunday for the next 2 weeks. We need as many players as possible out to these early practices to set positions & prepare for the season ahead. See you all out tomorrow at 3:00 pm on our back field.

Calling all Scientists! The Science Club will be having a lesson & discussion on the Leidenfrost effect, this Friday at lunch in Mr. Yeung’s Room, C221. Please note that attendance is mandatory if you would like to participate in next week’s lab on the Leidenfrost effect. Feel free to stop by and learn something new!

McMath’s Interact Club presents the Starfish Pack Project Bake Sale, a fundraiser for Starfish Pack, which is a non-profit organization located all over the Lower Mainland. This organization strives to provide meals for elementary school students who rely on school food programs. Their goal is to allow students to have the same opportunities to learn and develop as their peers. Come out on Feb. 4th to 7th at lunch & at parent-teacher conferences to support this cause! We will be selling various baked goods in front of the library, including cookies, cake pops, brownies and more

Gung Hey Fat Choy Wildcats! The Multicultural Club & Ms. Sun’s Mandarin 12 and AP students will be hosting a Chinese New Year celebration in the Rotunda tomorrow. There will be games, prizes, and performances. Come out and show support by wearing traditional Chinese clothes or the colour red.
