The District Youth Train in Trades Plumbing & Pipefitting program will be visiting the Rotunda on Tuesday. Come & see the skills these students have developed as they frame & plumb a mock up of their own design.

These post-secondary trade programs, offer dual credits for high school & university, and your program tuition is paid. Applications are available in your counselling office. This past weekend, 8 teams represented McMath at the Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair. The results are in and we would like to acknowledge our Wildcat Scientists who brought home some prestigious awards: Avora M. won a Silver Medal for her innovation on microbial cellulose and how it can be used to create a vegan leather; Mayya C. & Nicole V. received an honorary mention for their innovation on artificial bones and how they could offer a solution to patients suffering from osteoporosis. Congratulations to everyone!

Calling all Student Volunteers! Homma Elementary is looking for up to 50 student volunteers to help out with the Homma Spring Fair in May. Please meet this Friday at lunchtime to sign up and get the details.

Come talk about it at Student Council’s brand new Ted x Talks event, on April 30th & May 2nd at lunch in the drama room. If you would like to present a speech, please sign up at the office. All speeches must be written & submitted before April 25th.
