It’s Beyond the Blues (for mental health awareness) at McMath. On Thursday, Oct 10th, come to the rotunda at lunch to visit Richmond Mental Health, Richmond Addictions, and the Adolescent Support team to learn more about mental health and even win some prizes for your mental health knowledge!

Any students wishing to take part in a lunch-time Chess Club are asked to meet in Mr. Sohrevardi's Room B209 today at 12:45 pm. Beginners and experienced players are welcome and encouraged to come.

Are you interested in spending a month living and learning at a university campus next summer? The Shad enrichment program is an opportunity for exceptional student leaders to explore STEM & Entrepreneurship through hands-on, experiential learning in the form of workshops, seminars and labs while living at a host university across Canada for 4 weeks with 40-80 other students in Grade 10 or 11. McMath will be having a Shad Info Session taking place at lunch on October 9th in Room A105Session is open to those in Grades 10 & 11.

Calling all Student Volunteers!  Homma Elementary School is looking for TWELVE volunteers to help with SET UP/TEAR DOWN and the HOMMA HAUNTED HALLWAY at their Halloween Dance on Thursday, October 24th from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  Please attend an information and sign up meeting at lunchtime on Thursday, October 10th.

Any Senior boys interested in trying out for basketball this year, come out to the tryouts tonight and tomorrow at 7:30 pm, in the large gym.  

There will be a Senior Girls Basketball Open Gym,from 7:30 - 9:00 pm tonight, and tryouts for the team on Wednesday from 6:00 - 7:30 pm and Thursday from 7:30 - 9:00 pm.

All those interested in writing the Language Challenge Exam, please see your counsellor for more information. The absolute deadline for handing in completed applications and fees is November 4th.
