Organized by the Anti-Racisim Coalition of Vancouver, today is Black Shirt Day. It’s a day to honour the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. The coalition says it would like to see Black Shirt Day gain worldwide recognition as an international day of education and discussion around the history of racism and the ongoing fight for civil rights fought by Black and racialized Canadians.
Canadian Universities Event will be hosting its first ever winter event next week. On Wednesday, January 20th and Thursday, January 21st between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm, 48 post secondaries from across Canada will be available to answer questions and provide information. These sessions are in a Q & A format - you are encouraged to drop in and ask questions to representatives. Register at cuebc.org or check the career centre website for more details.
