This Wednesday, February 24th, is NATIONAL PINK SHIRT DAY. (Anti-Bullying Day)
Celebrated annually, PINK SHIRT DAY began in Canada in 2007 when two students from Nova Scotia, David Shepherd &Travis Price, took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new Grade 10 student was harassed and threatened for wearing PINK.
Each year, on PINK SHIRT DAY, we wear something PINK to symbolize that we as a society encourage kindness to one another, and to lift each other up.
McMath will join the rest of BC and Canada and celebrate our PRIDE community where everyone belongs, join in and wear pink. Kindness matters.
