On April 13th & 14th, Grade 10 students will be writing the Graduation Literacy Assessment (GLA). The Grade 10 Literacy Assessment is a provincial assessment that assesses student proficiency in literacy. It is a graduation requirement and students take the assessment in their Grade 10 year.
During these two days, students will write during the block of time that they would normally be at school. For some students, this will mean that their classes will need to go online for the 13th and 14th. For others, your classes will still be in-person, with some adjustments.
To help students prepare for the exam, we will be offering two optional review sessions on Zoom on April 6th and 7th at 10 am. Students will be able to ‘attend’ on the day they do not have class. A Zoom link with specific instructions will be sent directly to students on Thursday, April 1st.
Please see the schedule attached. It shows which students are writing when and where.
