Our first two PLT days were a success with students receiving support in subject areas, undertaking group work with peers, or working independently on either subject material or material of interest.
Next week, our PLT days are on Tuesday Sept 28th and Wednesday Sept 29th. Please find the week's bell schedule attached. Students will be able to sign up for two PLT sessions on Tuesday and one session on Wednesday. Wednesday morning will be our monthly Collaboration Time for staff, students will have a late start of 9:25am for their PLT session. The staff schedule for signing up for PLT will be published by lunch on Monday.
School will not be in session on Thursday, Sept 30th. It is the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a day that "honours the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process." We encourage all in our McMath community to reflect on Canada's past actions towards Indigenous peoples. https://www.canada.ca/en/canadian-heritage/campaigns/national-day-truth-reconciliation.html
McMath Student Council has organzied our first Spirit Week of the new school year. Please see attached for daily themes.
Look for the parent WAAG (Week At A Glance) to come for more info/details about the week of Sept 27th - Oct 1st.
