Muslims in BC and around the world marked the beginning of Ramadan.  During this holy month, Muslims are called to renew their spiritual commitment through self-reflection, daily fasting, prayer, and volunteerism.  We wish everyone observing a happy and peaceful Ramadan.

McMath Dance Team is hosting a workshop tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12th from 3:00-4:00 pm on the big stage.  No experience needed and all levels are welcome.  Hope to see you there!!!

Junior Rugby Players, reminder we have a practice today and tomorrow at 3:15 to 4:30 pm.  It is important for ALL players to attend these practices to prepare for our first game scheduled for a 4:00 pm kickoff this Wednesday, March 13th at McMath field.  Please let Mr. J know if you are not available for this game.

This past Saturday, two McMath teams competed against 76 teams across BC in UBC's annual Physics Olympics. McMath Team 1 placed 10th overall, winning fourth place in the Fermi questions event and earning bronze medals for Quizzics. Congratulations to McMath Team 1 and excellent work to everyone who competed!

On Friday, McMath's Junior Schoolreach team won first place in their Junior Provincials tournament, defeating St George's by a hair's breadth in the finals. Our team of first-time Schoolreach players gave incredible performances the entire night. Congratulations to Max, Jesse, Bryan and Joseph for their decisive victory!

McMath students are the 2024 Metro Vancouver Japan Bowl Champions!  Congratulations to Kevin L, Alex M and Gabriel S of McMath’s Japan Bowl Team for winning first place in this annual Japanese language and culture competition!  After placing in the final three following two nerve-wracking preliminary rounds, team LARGE FRIES came out on top in the exhilarating championship round!  Sharon Z, Ethan C, Hana N, Linden M, and Gloria C also represented McMath, while alumni Lexi L and Stephanie K, and teacher Ms. Ho cheered them all on!
