Grad Transitions (GT) is a mandatory 4-credit program that you MUST COMPLETE in order TO GRADUATE.
There are several requirements for Graduation Transitions and almost all are completed through the Planning course. Hurray!
At McMath, students have two further requirements to complete GT:
- 30 hours of volunteer or work experience (see form below), and
- a student-led interview, completed mid-April. A schedule to sign up for these interview will be created after spring break. See preparation info below.
GT is marked on a PASS/FAIL system based on the Volunteer - Work Experience Form and the GT Interview.
There will be a Grade 12 Assembly mid-January to talk with students about Grad Transitions and answer any questions. Students can contact Mrs. McFadyen at any time if they have questions about Graduation Transitions.
For more information about the GT program, students and parents can refer to the BC Ministry of Education's Program Guide for Graduation Transitions (external link).
