Today marks the one year anniversary of the announcement of the 215 unmarked graves on the grounds of the Tk’emlups te Secwepemc residential school. In the spirit of reconciliation and to honour the lives lost, our flags, and all of those in the school district, are at half-mast today, through to the end of day on May 30th. It is important we remember.

Last Thursday was a very busy day at McMath:

  • the Girls’ Soccer team won their game to come third in South Frasers and advance to the Provincials next week
  • the Tennis team concluded their season with the Richmond Championship!
  • the Rugby team played a tough opponent and improved their skills
  • the Dance team performed with enthusiasm and talent at Showcase night, and
  • the Textiles students modelled their creativity and skill to an appreciative audience. We also enjoyed baked goods made by our Foods students and were able to purchase bags up-cycled from Richmond banners. Thank you for a great evening and raising our awareness.

This week, there is much more to come, including our Track Meets. Stay tuned…
