Hello Parents & Caregivers of a Grade 12 Student,

As a long-standing tradition at McMath, Dry After Grad (DAG) is a fun-filled, inclusive, safe and memorable event for the Grade 12 students at McMath, planned by a committed group of grade 12 parents/caregivers. It’s a final opportunity for the graduates to come together one last time to celebrate this important milestone with their friends, classmates, peers and grade 12 school community. This year’s DAG event will have something for everyone with a variety of activities, entertainment, music, games and a fun time with others and will be held directly following the Dinner/Dance event on Tuesday, June 27th.

Students attending DAG must also attend the Dinner/Dance event. Please contact Mr. Johnstone, Principal by email if you require financial assistance towards the DAG ticket. We want all grads to be included in this celebration.

Sign Up to be a DAG Volunteer: We need YOUR help to make Dry After Grad 2023 a successful event. The DAG Committee has organized the event, but we need many volunteers to bring the event together on Tuesday, June 27^th. Please help us get this party started, share with your network of parents with students in grades 8-11 and consider donating a few hours of your time to help. Any questions about volunteering? Ways you can still contribute to the DAG event for your graduate:

§  Use your network to put us in touch with restaurant, food or beverage donations

§  Connect us with donations from local businesses, community groups and individuals

§  Consider making a cash donation or share a contact that may be interested in donating. Any donation amount helps. Donations may be made online https://sd38.bc.ca/our-district/donations Cash or cheque donations accepted by the McMath Business Assistant at the office with the attached form if a tax receipt is desired. Cheques made payable to Richmond School District # 38

Attached is DAG 2023 Timeline for Students document for you to review with your graduate in advance of the Bag Drop on Monday June 26th and the Dry After Grad event on Tuesday, June 27th.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, May 30^th 6-7 pm in the McMath staff room. All grade 12 parents are welcome. Meeting minutes from our May 16^th meeting are attached.
