First DAG Meeting Nov 20th @ 6pm

Good day Parents & Caregivers of a student in the Grad Class of 2024.

We are well into the school year now and it is time to get the Parent Committee to organize the DAG event coming June 2024.

For those who do not know what is the DAG, the Dry After Grad is an all-night, parent supervised celebration, for graduating students only. The event includes entertainment, music, food, activities, games, etc. held in the McMath school rotunda and various wings throughout the school. This year, the Grad Dinner & Dance is at the Tsawwassen Springs, June 27, 2024 (Thursday), follow with the DAG from 11pm until Friday morning. DAG is a great event for the grads and is organized from the Grads parents & caregivers.

To initiate the committee and determine those who wish to volunteer or be part of the leadership of the DAG 2024 Committee, it is important to have as many parents & caregivers to attend this meeting to create a committee and a chair.  Every year at McMath, a newly formed Grade 12 Parent DAG Committee organizes and runs the event with the help of Grade 10 and 11 parent volunteers who act as “shadows” to learn the ropes for the following year.  An event of this size requires a large group of grade 12 parents to organize and chair each of the following role/committees. Diana Trueman and Winson Leung, cc above, has show interest to take the chair and treasurer role, and will facilitate in the first meeting to have all the roles/committee leader to be filled.
