Today, January 15th, is Black Excellence Day. It is a day to recognize and commemorate the various contributions and achievements made by black Canadians. This day takes place on the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr, an American civil rights activist fighting to end segregation through peaceful protest. 
It is vital that we take this day to reflect and highlight black stories and experiences in our community.  McMath Social Justice 12 students welcome you to check out posters of exceptional Black Canadian put up in our school hallways.

All French Immersion 12 Students are required to complete their Grade 12 LTF 12 oral and written exams. The WRITTEN portion is scheduled for Wednesday, January 17th and the ORAL portion is scheduled on either of Wednesday, January 24th or Thursday, January 25th, 2024. Specific locations for students to write have been posted on the windows outside of the office and around the school. Please make sure you know when and where you will be writing your exam.  * Bring a pen, pencil, eraser, and your PEN # and your Go-Card/ID to your assessment.
There will be practice sessions for these exams during PLT tomorrow, Tuesday, January 16th in Mme Achour's room B212.

To all grade 10 and 11 students...are you interested the career of Early Childhood Educator?  You and your parents are invited to join the virtual SD38 Career Programs info session on Zoom this Thursday, January 18th from 6:30-7:15 pm.  Your parents were recently emailed the Zoom link and password.  It's also on the slat board in or near your counselling area.  Come hear about how to start your tuition-free training as an Early Childhood Education Assistant.
