Overview

With the implementation of new graduation programs for secondary students a companion report was

added in MyED to assist schools with communicating student graduation status via MyED BC. The new

report can be used in conjunction with other graduation progress reports like the Diploma Verification

Report and School Transcript. The Grad Status Update report is tied to the assignment of a Program of

Study for each student. Effective 2023-2024 students must be assigned one of 4 Programs of Study: 1.

2023 – EN English Grad Program, 2. 2023 – FI French Immersion Grad Program, 3. School Completion

Certificate Program, or 4. Adult Graduation Program. The Grad Status Update report applies the program

of study to the courses (completed and in-progress) to determine the graduation status of a student. The

revised MoECC reporting order (effective 2023-2024 school year) mandates schools to publish (paper or

electronically) the Grad Status Update report. Please review district guidelines for when and how often

secondary schools are required to publish the Grad Status Update report.

The Grad Status Report

This report is for parents, guardians, and students.

• It is intended to aid schools in communication with parents, guardians, and students.

• Summarizes student progress towards graduation for all graduation programs shown below.

• Does not replace the Diploma Verification Report or School Transcript.

It is not intended to display when/where credits are earned or marks assigned but to identify:

• What requirements have been completed by the student.

• What requirements are in progress for the student.

• What requirements have yet to be completed by the student.

• Which Provincial Assessments have been completed by the student.

The report will accurately reflect a graduation progress based on the requirements connected to the

Program of Study assigned to the student, and the accuracy of the information in MyED BC.
