Parent Online Survey – Linear or Semester (February 6-13)

As mentioned in previous PAC meetings, we informed parents that McMath is reviewing our secondary structure to determine our timetable structure for future years.  We are asking ALL parents and caregivers to complete a survey to provide our families a voice and to be part of the input for this important decision. Last year about 25% of our parents completed the survey. We are hoping to have at least 70% of the parents completing the survey to show a strong mandate.

Our staff created a committee to gather information about the two systems we are considering – SEMESTER & LINEAR.  As for PLT, whether we are linear or semester, there will still be 100 PLT minutes weekly.  This was presented at the January 17^th PAC meeting, please review the presentation which is attached. 

Students will be completing a survey on February 9 & 10^th at school.

We will be emailing the survey link to ALL McMath families next week. The school will email the survey every day for the week of February 6th-13th. Please find a Chinese versions of insturctions attached. Once you have completed the survey, please disregard the remaining emails.

Thanks for your cooperation and for participating in this decision by completing the survey. The decision will be communicated after February 17^th.
