Student Notices October 11th, 2024

Attention all Grade 9s. Please hand in your Immunization Forms to the office, as soon as possible.

 

Come out to Day two of Clubs Days at lunch. See all different Clubs McMath has to offer. Clubs will have their displays in the Upper and Lower Rotunda. Don’t miss out.

 

Graduation Literacy Assessment Prep Sessions

All Grade 10s will be writing GLA 10s, and All Grade 12 students writing GLA 12 assessments during the last week of October.

There will be a GLA 10 Prep Session in the Library during PLT on Tuesday, October 15th. There will be a GLA 12 Prep Session in the Library during PLT on Thursday, October 17th.

Students registered to write the assessments are welcome to attend. The schedule outlining when students are scheduled to write their grad assessments will be posted outside the Library and the main office next week.

 

Grade 11 & Grade 12 Students are you interested in studying Business? Yes, no or not sure! A representative from SFU Beedie School of Business will be at McMath Tuesday in room 11205 at lunchtime come and meet the Representative ask questions, gather information and find out if SFU Beedie School of Business is for you.

 

Each Year, National Coming Out Day on Oct 11 serves as a powerful reminder of the strength, vulnerability and authenticity it takes to embrace’s one’s true self and for society to advocate for everyone’s right to do so.  

 

 

October 11 is also, the International Day of the Girl Child. The theme is ‘Girls’ vision for the future. Let us at McMath be committed to fostering and supporting the power of girls’ voices and their vision for the future. A day to raise awareness of issues facing girls internationally, such as education, nutrition, forced child marriage, legal rights, and medical rights.

 

Interested in skiing with McMath's Ski Club?  Come to an informationl meeting on Tuesday, Oct 15th at lunch in the large gym. You'll find out dates, costs, schedules, and will pick-up permission forms. See Ms. Phillpotts if you have any questions.

 

Hey Wildcats! It’s time to get spooky because our annual Halloween Costume Contest is back! On Thursday, October 31st, during lunch, you’ll have the chance to show off your best Halloween costumes in the rotunda, whether you're going solo or putting together a group costume! Starting today, you can sign up by filling out the form posted on McMath StuCo's Instagram. Sign-ups are open until October 25th, so start planning your costume now!"
