Hello parents/guardians of Grade 11 and 12 students!

It’s that time of year to begin planning for Dry After Grad 2025, otherwise known as DAG 2025.

This is a yearly event planned entirely by parents and guardians. The 2025 event runs after the formal grad dinner and dance, overnight from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on June 26-27. We provide food, fun and entertainment to ensure our kids have a safe and inclusive graduation experience that they won’t soon forget. Most importantly, though, this event will only happen in 2025 if we have enough parents of Grade 11 and 12 students come forward to help.

DAG 2025 leadership currently consists of a chair (that’s me!) and a secretary, Carolyn Fernie. We still need a co-chair and treasurer. As a team of four, we support committee chairs, ensure planning is progressing, bills are paid, and that the event adheres to all district health, safety and inclusion policies.

We’ll be coming to you in April and May, seeking volunteers to help night of. For now, though, we need 10 people to head up DAG and its various committees. We have committee chairs in place for Security, Food, and Red Carpet committees, but volunteers are still required to chair the following:

Yes, you are. But so is everyone. The time commitment extends from November to June with one meeting, once monthly, and with some planning and organizational time in between. This will ramp up in June with three meetings leading up to the big event. The below meeting dates are wide open all to parental/guardian attendance. Please feel free to join us at anytime 😊
