A friendly reminder that Gr. 12 Winter Formal is this Thursday, January 22nd for those who purchased a ticket.

Below are a few important reminders: 

• Check in is from 6:30 - 6:45pm.  Doors close at 6:45pm 
• A reminder that this is a school event and thus all school rules will apply (this includes but is not limited to rules around alcohol, cigarettes and vaping).  Riverside Banquet Hall will have security on site.  They will greet each guest at the door, search any bags, and do a general search for contraband.  If anyone is found in possession or found under the influence of drugs or alcohol, they will be refused entry, parents will be called and there will be consequences from the school.  
• No outside food or drinks allowed.
• There will be no in and out privileges.  Once a student leaves, they have left for the night.
• Location is the Grande Riverside Banquet Hall at 1231 Burdette St., Richmond BC V6V 2Z2.
• If there has been professional transportation organized for pick up, it is a good idea to ensure that the confirmation is made regarding the date, time and address for pick up.  A reminder to parents that pick-up is at 10pm.  We kindly ask parents to arrive by 9:45pm.
• Students driving to Winter Formal with a Class 7, “N” designation, unless accompanied by a supervisor age 25+ with a valid Class 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 license is restricted to ONE passenger only (not including immediate family). Parents and guardians, please ensure your child has a safe  and legal ride to and from the event. This has been an issue in the past where students with a N designation, Class 7 Driver's License, have attempted to drive more than they are legally permitted to at the end of the night. In these circumstances, parents/guardians will be called to pick up their grad at the end of the night. Note: public transportation is not easily accessible from this location and should not be considered as a way home.
