Dear Parents/Guardians of Grade 9 Students:

The Richmond School Board, in co-operation with The Learning Partnership, business, labour and

the community, is proud to be involved in this exciting initiative. Since 1994, Take Our Kids to

Work Day has grown from a regional program into a nation-wide project involving more than

200,000 Grade 9 students and 75,000 workplaces. Career Education curriculum supports

students as they begin to identify and develop personal interests, passions and competencies.

Learning from work-related experiences helps to foster this growing awareness

Wednesday, November 2, 2022, is the date of this year’s event. Grade 9 students across Canada

will go to work with a parent, relative, or adult friend (students may also go with a classmate’s

parent).

PLEASE COMPLETE THE ATTACHED PERMISSION FORM AND EMAIL IT TO MCMATH AT 

mcmath@sd38.bc.ca OR RETURN IT TO THE MAIN OFFICE BY FRIDAY, October 28, 2022.

ANY GRADE 9 STUDENT WISHING TO PARTICIPATE MUST RETURN A COMPLETED PERMISSION FORM.
