A huge congratulations to Ms. Scarr and the Leadership students for putting on a fantastic and exciting grade 7 Feeder basketball tournament on March 1^st and 2^nd.  Our participating schools were: Diefenbaker, Homma, Dixon, Byng and Westwind.  It was a great turn out with hundreds of staff, students and community members from our feeder schools in attendance.  The final games were exciting and close ones – with the girl’s final game tied down to the last 6 seconds.  Our winning schools were Diefenbaker for the boys and Homma for the girls.  The spirit and energy was contagious.  Well done everyone!

The McMath Junior School Reach team placed 4th at the provincial School Reach Competition Finals on Friday.  15 teams competed.

Congrats to the Senior Girls basketball team who finished off their season with a fourth-place finish at the provincials! The team fought hard all the way to the end going 2-2 at the tournament. Thank you to the coaches, families and fans who came out to support the team. Special congrats to Marina R. who was a 1st team all-star and Caitlin K. who was a 2nd team all-star. The entire team worked hard all season, congrats!

Attention all Grade 8, 9, and 10 rugby players!  Practices are today, tomorrow and Thursday, from 3:15pm to 4:30pm.  New players are welcome!  Dress for the weather.

Gr. 8 Boys Volleyball try-outs will happen today and tomorrow from 3:00 to 4:30pm in the north gym!

Reminder to all girls interested in going out for the soccer team that try-outs will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Boyd Turf from 3:30 to 5:00pm!

Want to show some school spirit? Join Student Council’s Spirit Week starting today until Friday.  Today is Monochrome Monday, tomorrow will be Crazy Hair and Hat Day and Wednesday is Mismatch Day!

Attention all grade 9, 10 and 11 students!  Student Council’s Spring Fling ticket sales have been extended.  Today is the last day to buy them!  Tickets will be sold at lunch in front of the office for $5.  Hope to see you there!
