Tomorrow, during Block E is the last FRUIT & VEGGIE DAY this school year…organic apples!  Teachers, please send a runner to the staff room at the beginning of Block E tomorrow to collect the apples.  Any leftovers are to be returned to the staff room, and any students wanting extra can go to the LS room at lunch.

Did you know that being attracted to your same sex is illegal and can be punished to death in 48% of the countries in the UN member states?  Tomorrow on Wednesday, May 17 we are celebrating the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. This year's theme is "Together always: united in diversity." To honour this day, let's show our support and dress in rainbow colours. There will also be special treats at recess, distributed by Social Justice students.

Wildcats!  There will be an entire showcase and celebration of Fine Arts at McMath on Thursday, May 18^th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. You will see many students’ achievements across many different disciplines, including “Fashion Show”, “Contemporary & Jazz band performance”, “Display of Student work”, “Drama performance”, Bake & Craft Sale” and more!  Please join in the celebration and support the showcase night.

Congratulations to the McMath Girls Soccer team! The Richmond Champions have advanced to the South Fraser Zone Championship game on Thursday by beating the 2^nd and 3^rd rank teams in back-to-back games and were full value for both their victories. In their win yesterday versus Fleetwood Park, the girls won 3-2 with goals from Olivia Gr., Olivia G., and Brooke V. There were stellar performances everywhere on the pitch as the girls battled hard to punch their ticket to the Provincial Championships in Kelowna. Before that, however, is a battle versus archrivals South Delta on Thursday to determine who will enter the Provincial Championships as the South Fraser Zone Champion. Good luck team!

Attention Grade 8 Girls!  There is an open gym for Grade 8 Volleyball after school today.  All skill levels are welcome, we hope to see you there!
