This weekend our Ethics Bowl team did McMath proud as Richmond's only team at the November Regional Ethics Bowl at SFU. Discussing important issues such as indigenous law, urban planning and ethical business practices, team members Rebecca W., Hannah Z., Katie H., Ava Y., Zoe N., and Leah Y. impressed judges and fellow students with their skills. The team came in 6th overall in British Columbia. Way to go Wildcats!

McMath Leadership and the Good Shepard Ministry would like to thank everyone again for their support towards our annual candy and clothing drive. This year between all the schools we were able to collect 19 tubs of candy and 15 tubs of clothing, blankets, hats, and gloves. Thanks all.

Our Debate team competed at the UBC Fall Debate Tournament this past weekend and brought back amazing results. Congrats to Annie Z. and Ashely P. for making it to the semifinals in the senior division. Angelina C. and Thomas X. also made a strong showing! Congrats Wildcats.

Congratulations to our Senior Girls Volleyball team, your South Fraser Champions! This is McMath's third straight South Fraser Senior Girls 'AAA' title! Good luck in the provincials! Go Wildcats!

Congratulations to the Senior Boys soccer team who battled hard at Provincials last weekend. Unfortunately, the results weren’t what the team was hoping for, but they all battled hard and represented McMath extremely well all season long. Special congratulations to Callan W., who was selected to the Commissioners 16 team, and to Oliver B., who won the Golden Boot for scoring the most goals in the tournament. That’s a wrap on the season as the Senior Boys team finish up as the champions of Richmond and champions of the South Fraser Valley zone! Well done lads!

Basketball Scorekeeper Training will take place Tuesday during PLT. Please come refresh your knowledge or learn a new skill. Wildcat home games will be starting next week.

Ski club members!  Today is the last day for ski club payment.  School cash online closes at 3:00 p.m.  If there are any last-minute problems, see Ms. Phillpotts before lunch in C212. If you do not pay today, your spot will be forfeited to someone on the wait list. 

Attention Outdoor Ed students: don't forget that tonight is the first day of our mandatory backcountry emergencies course.  The course runs from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm outside C212.  Make sure you have a bit to eat before we start but there will be snacks. 

Concert Choir, rehearsal today in A111 at lunch!  Please be sure to attend as the Winter Concert is fast approaching!

Math Team!  There is a meeting in room B206 at lunch today.

Attention STEM club members!  There will be a meeting at lunch on Wednesday in room B219, where we will be learning how to code in python.

Attention Costa Rica students. Due to the grad photo taking place during PLT this week, we will have our meeting on Thursday Nov. 30th at 9:00 am. That is no meeting on Tuesday, instead we will meet at 9:00 on Thursday. Additionally, could students working on the raffle fundraiser touch base with Ms. Schiefer some time before the meeting.
