Attention all Wildcats. Wednesday, February 14th is our 2nd Conference and Course Planning Day. All sessions will take place in your Homeroom class. Please make sure you know where you are going, as some rooms have changed. A list of Homerooms is posted in the office. Course Planning for next year will be discussed during Conference Day, you will need to be able to log-in to your MyEd Student Portal to choose courses, so please make sure you have your login info ASAP.  

Social Justice 12 students would like to encourage McMath to celebrate Black History Month and will be sharing biographies of important African Canadians all February. 

One specific figure that demonstrates Black Excellence in Canada is Lincoln Alexander. He served as the first black Member of Parliament from 1979 to 1980 and was named the Minister of Labour under Prime Minister Joe Clark. As a lawyer, Alexander won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers in 1997. 

If you attended the Food Safe Course on January 29th, your certificates are available in room A105.

Hey Wildcats!  The Superbowl was on Sunday which means that the Costa Rica trip will be collecting your bottles all this week.  Please bring us your bottles and cans to help us raise money to help kids in Costa Rica!

Grade 10, 11 and 12 students, great news!  The deadline to apply to the Youth Academy has been extended to Thursday, February 29th at 4:00 pm.  The application is available through your counsellor or Career Advisor and is also posted on the SD38 Career Programs website.  Don’t miss this opportunity!
