Student Notices February 15, 2024

Today is Fruit & Veggie Day – snap peas!  Teachers, please send a runner to the staff room now to collect the peas.

If you did not receive a Course Planning sheet yesterday, please attend to the office to pick up.  Full instructions for Program Planning are on the McMath website under “Students” top tab.

Social Justice 12 students would like to encourage McMath to celebrate Black History Month and will be sharing biographies of important African Canadians all February.

Today we’re celebrating Winnie Harlow and her accomplishments and impact in the fashion industry. Winnie Harlow is an incredible model who has achieved so much in her career. She's known for breaking barriers in the fashion industry and promoting inclusivity and diversity. Winnie has a unique skin condition called vitiligo, which she proudly embraces and uses as a platform to inspire others. She has walked the runway for top fashion companies, appeared in magazines, and even starred in music videos. Winnie is not only a talented model, but also an advocate for self-acceptance and empowerment.

Congratulations to this week’s Reading Riot prize draw winners, Caroline G. and Nermin N. Please claim your prizes in the library.

Hey Wildcats!  The Costa Rica trip will be collecting your bottles all this week.  Please bring us your bottles and cans to help us raise money to help kids in Costa Rica!
