COURSE CORRECTION PROCESS

Student Schedules have been emailed out to parents/students. Hard copies will be handed out during homeroom during the first week of school.

As in past years, students have had the opportunity to confirm their course choices in late spring.  Only a few students are not able to get a course or two due to their choices.  We are very full and have had many new students join us over the summer.  Changing courses in the fall can be challenging to complete.  Most classes are full and have wait lists.  

If there are any changes to be made – please follow the procedures outlined in the Course Correction Requests process detailed in the email with your schedules.   

Course correction requests are only considered if there is an error in a student’s schedule, and if the request meets one or more of the stated criteria. Please also note that course correction requests will only be considered if they are submitted using the online form. - link below or the QR code provided.

Requests submitted directly to the school or office staff emails will not be considered.  September is a busy time, and counsellors may be unable to see students immediately – please be patient. Counsellors will not be accepting emails for course corrections.  

Last day to submit a Course Change Request is September 6, 2024. 

If there are any changes to be made – please follow the procedures outlined below and in the Course Correction Requests e-mail.  

Criteria for Course Correction Requests: 

1) Your course schedule is incomplete (i.e. you are missing a course from your schedule) 
2) You are missing a course(s) required for graduation or a post-secondary program (Gr 11 & 12 students only) 
3) Your scheduled course(s) reflect an incorrect grade or level 
 
Priority for course correction requests will be given to Grade 12 students. If a correction is possible, please note that it may affect the placement of other courses in your schedule. If a requested change is made, it will not be possible to revert to the original schedule. 
 
Submitting a course correction request form does not guarantee that a change is possible in your schedule. Students MUST continue to follow their original course schedule until such time as they are provided with an updated schedule by their counsellor. We appreciate your patience as the counsellors work through the submitted requests.
