A message from Ms. Babecoff-Kimhi...

Dear McMath Parents/Guardians,

My name is Talia Babecoff-Kimhi and I’m one of the counsellors at McMath this year. I’m very passionate about the trades and the wonderful benefits they can bring to inquiring and interested grade 11 & 12 students. 

Among the benefits of exploring the possibility of a future in the trades while still in high school are:

*Developing hands-on skills relevant to the current labour market

*Earning: up to 16 credits (4 courses) towards high school graduation at grade 11/12 level, post-secondary and/or industry credits

*Through apprenticeship: getting paid work, acquiring skills and experience, and connecting with mentors in the student’s field of choice. All hours worked count!

If you or someone you know is currently working in the trades (with or without a Red Seal certification), and would be willing to collaborate with me to forge connections and explore potential apprenticeships and other opportunities for McMath students, I’d love to hear from you.
