Student Notices October 4th, 2024

If you did not receive your ID card please come to the office at break, lunch or after-school to pick it up.

 

October 4th, is the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQ+ people. Today we honour the lives and legacies of the victims and survivors, the women, girls and @SLGBTQ+ loved ones impacted by this tragic and on-going violence.

 

Attention all Students! A Digital Personal Device Policy Reminder:   In the past week, many students have been using their air pods, during instructional time and have had their phone in their pocket.  Devices are to be powered off in a locker or a back pack, not in your pocket!   Devices will be confiscated, please follow the school districts’ personal digital device policy.  Thanks for your cooperation.

 

Wildcats, you are now able to order AP Exams for the 2024-2025 school year. If you would like to order one or more AP exams this year, please see the school website with more details or pick up a form in the office. Payment is due Friday, November 1st.

 

Clubs Day! McMath will be holding two Clubs Days next week. October 10th and 11th during lunch in the upper and lower Rotunda. Make sure you come out and check out all the Clubs McMath has to offer.

 

 

Attention all members of the Royal Canadian Sea, Army and Air Cadets! McMath is looking for cadet volunteers to proudly participate in uniform during the Remembrance Day Assembly on November 8th.  Even if you are new to cadets, you are highly encouraged to participate!  We also need some senior cadets to fill the lead roles.  We know there are a lot of cadets at McMath and there is strength in numbers! For more information, muster today at the beginning of lunch in Mrs. Gallant’s room, 23135, Upper C wing.

 

Attention Grads, those who are attending the Boat Cruise, it is expected that you attend all of your classes today, including the last block. Also, please bring your Go-Card (student ID card) with you tonight!

 

Display Club! We are having our first meeting at lunch on Monday, October 7th in the library. We are going to start our first display for Halloween, old and new members welcome.

 

World Teachers’ Day (is celebrated October 5th as a special occasion to recognize the vital role teachers play. Teachers are the heartbeat of public education, nurturing and empowering the next generation through their dedication and commitment.

World Teachers Day provides an opportunity to emphasize the crucial contributions of teachers, it also raises awareness about the ongoing challenges they face and the support they require to continue their invaluable work.  Wildcat, show your appreciation for your teachers today.  McMath Staff work hard and are dedicated to ensure you will graduate with a purpose and achieve your goals after high-school.  Please take a moment after the announcements to applaud your teacher.
