McMath Cares 10 Day Wellness Challenge

During Quarters 3 and 4, a total of 32 classes participated in this 10 Day Wellness Challenge.  Each day, teachers were given a different set of activities to focus on with their class.

Day 1: Introduction

Day 2: Yoga

Day 3: Journal Writing

Day 4: Calming Colouring

Day 5&6: Restful Reflection

Day 7: Guided Imagery

Day 8: Reading

Day 9: Games

Day 10: Conclusion.

Through feedback and class discussion, both staff and students found that taking time away from academics to focus on their mental well-lbeing was very beneficial and recharging.  Students had much better focus after each activity and in general, seem happier  Going forward, we would like to reduce the number of days from 10 days to 7 days and try to recruit even more staff to participate.
