Hello Parents & Caregivers of Grade 12 Students,

The planning and organizing of the Dry After Grad (DAG) event is well underway by a dedicated group of grade 12 parents and it will be an inclusive, fun, safe and memorable night for our grads.

Tickets for the Dry After Grad event are now on sale through school cash online SchoolCashOnline.com: Welcome.

We are still looking for grade 12 parents and caregivers to contribute any amount of time they have to help with the planning of event for June 27^th/28^th, which happens right after they return from the dinner & dance.  The Dry After Grad event is run by grade 8-11 parent volunteers on that evening, however organized by the grade 12 parents/caregivers.

Thank you to those parents that have already come forward to chair or help out with one of the various committees.

Ways you can contribute to the DAG event for your graduating student:

• Attend our next Dry After Grad Meeting on Tuesday, April 25^th from 6-7pm in the McMath staff room.  All grade 12 parents are welcome even if you are just getting involved.

• Sign up to help out on a Committee. Committee Chairs have been established but we need many parents to help out on these committees.

• Attend a decoration work party arranged in the McMath Rotunda beginning after 6pm on April 13 & 25, May 11 & 23, and June 1 & 13.

• Take home projects.  Decorating projects that can be done on your own time at home.

• Restaurant, food or beverage donations/connections.  Make a connection for a restaurant, or food/beverage donation.

• Contractor discount or building supplies.  Assist with building materials for the decoration committee.

• Donations. Connect with local businesses, community groups, and individuals to gather donations to offset the costs of the event.

• Consider making a cash donation or share a contact in your network that may be interested in making a donation.  The cost of hosting Dry After Grad has increased while the number of students and potential ticket sales have decreased.  Any donation amount will help.

To make a donation to Dry After Grad, make donations online ( https://sd38.bc.ca/our-district/donations ). Cash or cheque donations can be accepted by the Business Assistant at the McMath office (with the attached form, if a tax receipt is desired). Cheques payable to Richmond School District #38.
 

Next Meeting:  Please join us on Tuesday, April 25^th from 6-7pm in the McMath staff room.  All grade 12 parents/caregivers are welcome and encouraged to attend.
